Minister's Message

MINISTER’S MESSAGE

A rich week of sharing God’s love at Trillium.

On Sunday, we were blessed by a sanctuary filled with the jaw-dropping, virtuoso piano music of Luis Molina and the warmth of a captivated audience.

On Tuesday, the Silver Spire and Trillium Visitation Teams gathered for an interactive workshop with Trish Archibald, a Spiritual Care Practitioner with Niagara Health, sharing a rich morning of conversation and learning. Your Trillium Council met that afternoon.

By Wednesday, preparations for the Harvest Tea were in full swing. The fellowship, creativity, and laughter that went into the preparations were almost as delightful as the tea itself—if not more! It was wonderful to see the Fellowship Room on Thursday filled with joy, conversation, and beauty. Our prayer is that all who participated were nourished in every way.

As we live in a time when loneliness is named an epidemic, this gathering was a true expression of sharing and companionship. The tea overflowed with warmth and connection, mingling with the vibrant energy of the Alzheimer Society, the Niagara Handweavers and Spinners, and the Niagara School of Music, who also filled the building that day. Thank you to our neighbours at the Greek Orthodox Church who opened their parking lot for the afternoon.

Not long before that, Trillium folks gathered for breakfast at Johnny Pastrami’s, and the growing Trillium staff met for an hour to dream, share, and support one another. These moments—whether over tea, breakfast, or music—remind us that God’s love is powerfully shared in community.

As we continue our fall food drive, we are invited once again to be signs of that love in tangible ways—offering nourishment, kindness, and hope to our neighbours.

“I am the bread of life,” Jesus said. “Whoever comes to me will never be hungry.” (John 6:35)

Nourished in and by the Bread of Life, may we continue to be bread for one another—nourishing, uplifting, and sharing God’s abundance with all.

Our new church directory is more than a list of names and numbers—it’s one of the most important books we have as a community. It tells the story of who we are together. Each name represents a connection, a friendship, a prayer.

If someone’s name catches your eye or crosses your mind, take a moment to reach out. Call, text, or write a note. A simple hello can mean the world.

If you would like to receive the e-news and email updates, and be in the updated, always-updating directory call, the church office or an usher can help.
