All are Welcome

The soaring sound of the orchestra, the duets and solo voices, the choir, organ, and piano made for a wonderful way to begin the Season of Advent. This beautiful concert was followed by a warm reception prepared by the Bake Squad. Altogether, we welcomed 130 friends into our sanctuary—and almost all stayed for the reception.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special day, including the worship leaders and communion servers who guided us into this sacred time and place, preparing our hearts for Advent. Many hands and hearts made light work, and we are deeply grateful for each and every one of them.

As I made my way around the reception, many shared who had invited them to the concert—so thank you as well for inviting your friends, neighbours, acquaintances, and colleagues. Of course, none of this would happen without an attentive audience and people willing to share in a sweet treat together!

It was truly an inspiring day.

Having experienced this day of music, connection, and shared delight, may we go forth mindful that the Christ Light is not distant, but already within and around us. In each encounter, each moment of kindness, each quiet reflection, the sacred continues to be revealed. May we continue to extend our invitation to community and connection.
