Every once in a while, a newsletter just needs to look ahead! August flew by in a flash, and now we’re stepping into an exciting September.
Final Sunday in Ruby Carroll Hall – September 7
This Sunday, September 7, will be our final worship service in the Ruby Carroll Hall. On Monday, September 8, Shawn and John, as part of the tech team will move all the livestreaming equipment back into the Sanctuary. Moira and Grant, on behalf of the Worship Team, have already changed the banners, filled the candles, and cleaned up the melted wax. Everything will be ready for our return to the Sanctuary on Sunday, September 14 Thank you!!.
Welcome Back Sunday – September 14
We’ll celebrate Welcome Back Sunday! During worship, we will bless the backpacks and commission all our ministry teams for the church year.
After the service, enjoy a sweet treat and some intergenerational lawn games—ring toss, ladder ball, bocce ball, even giant Jenga and more.
The Fellowship Team will need your support! Sign-up sheets will be available this Sunday in Ruby Carroll Hall for a few people who would like to help set up games or scoop ice cream.
Guest Leadership & Workshop – September 21
I have the honour of leading worship and sharing a message at Littlewood and St. Andrews Westminster, just south of London, as part of their anniversary celebration.

Regional Online Event – September 24
Horseshoe Falls Regional Council invites you to a special online Strawberry Communion event featuring Adrian Jacobs of the Turtle Clan, Cayuga Nation, speaking on The Spiritual Covenant—a reflection on land, relationship, and reconciliation.

Truth and Reconciliation Sunday – September 28
We’ll conclude the month with worship led by Thérèse Samuel, Minister, Right Relations and Social Justice, as we honour National Truth and Reconciliation Day.
After the service, join us for coffee and conversation in the fellowship room. Please let the office know if you plan to attend.

Trillium United Church is located conveniently in the north-end of St. Catharines. Originally Grantham United Church, then First United Church, the church amalgamated with Mountainview United and created what is now trillium United Church.
Trillium strives to be a spirituality centre in St. Catharines with open doors for those seeking family, compassion, joyful fellowship and acceptance, and offering outreach, service and a safe space to those in need.
We are a community that lives God's love as a diverse spiritual family, open and welcoming to all.

I have never attended Trillium United Church
What can I expect to see?
While we offer a traditional order of service, our worship is warm, eclectic, inclusive, and relatable. The message is relevant, contemporary, and scripture-based.
Is there anything I should know?
The only thing you need to know is you are welcome to join us for any service. If you are still questioning, join us for coffee after service at 11:30. People will recognize you are new and will be more than happy to make you feel at home!
