Minister's Message
Just One Month to Go!
Trillium United Church will mark a special milestone on Sunday, June 8, which is both Pentecost Sunday and the 100th Anniversary of the United Church of Canada. It’s also Trillium’s 3rd birthday - so there’s much to celebrate!
That evening, a national anniversary service will be held in Newfoundland. We’ll share the livestream link ahead of time, although David and Judith Pritchard will travel to be there in person!
Please continue bringing in your United Church memorabilia - photos, certificates, and other treasures. A beautiful collection is taking shape, thanks to the care and creativity of a dedicated team.
Last Sunday, Trillium’s choir participated in the Choral Celebration at Central United in Welland. It was a spectacular concert and a wonderful expression of collaboration and shared ministry, the Spirit is on the move. Congratulations to all involved, and thank you for a joyful afternoon!
This Sunday, as we reflect on Acts 9:36 - 43 and the story of Tabitha (also known as Dorcas) - whose life of care and generosity invited others to faith - we also give thanks for all who nurture others with love.
Mother’s Day gives us space to honour birth mothers, adoptive mothers, chosen mothers, and all who offer mothering love through presence, encouragement, and compassion. We also hold with tenderness those for whom this day carries grief, longing, or loss. We wish you all blessings of love, strength, and peace on this Mother’s Day.
Whether you’re joining us in person or in spirit, we give thanks for the community we share - and for all the ways God’s love is made known through you.
Rev. Barb

Trillium United Church is located conveniently in the north-end of St. Catharines. Originally Grantham United Church, then First United Church, the church amalgamated with Mountainview United and created what is now trillium United Church.
Trillium strives to be a spirituality centre in St. Catharines with open doors for those seeking family, compassion, joyful fellowship and acceptance, and offering outreach, service and a safe space to those in need.
We are a community that lives God's love as a diverse spiritual family, open and welcoming to all.
Come and meet us, we would like to meet you.
